This color shifter may appear olive green to some people and yellow-green to others—wait to be surprised! The earthy, garden-green base hue has botanical prints from marigolds and dahlia petals, with a few coreopsis and hollyhock sprinkled throughout.

Created with the time-intensive process of double dyeing; first, the ribbons are dyed in a bath of marigolds to create a green-hued base, and then flowers are rolled into the silk and steamed to create the array of botanical prints.

Each ribbon is a work of art. Use to wrap special gifts, adorn bridal bouquets, or tie on Easter Baskets!

Each ribbon is unique and markings vary.

Plant Dyes are more subtle and complex than those created by synthetic dyes. You are purchasing a "living color" that is unique and one-of-a-kind. While each lot of color is dyed in the same manner, with the same plant materials, slight variations & unique characteristics will make each ribbon special. Each ribbon is wound on a antique style wooden spool. 100% Habutai Silk Bias Ribbon. Silk weight 12mm.

Our habutai silk ribbons are washable and reusable! Machine wash separately gentle cycle/cold, or hand wash. Use mild pH neutral soap, plant dyes are "living" color that can be shifted by chemicals and drastic changes in pH. Tumble dry on low or hang to dry. Iron when just barely damp on medium heat on the back side of the fabric.
