Description

BOTANICAL PRINT No. 86 showcases soft and subtle botanical prints displayed delicately throughout. An ombre of coral, gold, and teal blue highlights the botanical prints.

Botanical markings are mainly from marigolds, coreopsis, zinnia, and delphinium, with a few other dried flower petals organically grown and gathered from our gardens. Some markings are subtle, but the overall impact is grand.

This is a triple process ribbon; first, it is dip dyed in our indigo vat, then eco-printed by rolling flowers into the silk and steaming it, then soaked in a dye bath of coreopsis flowers. This slow-crafted color is a piece of art.

No two ribbons are alike! The botanical eco-prints vary on each ribbon.

Details

Plant Dyes are more subtle and complex than those created by synthetic dyes. You are purchasing a "living color" that is unique and one-of-a-kind. While each lot of color is dyed in the same manner, with the same plant materials, slight variations & unique characteristics will make each ribbon special. Each ribbon is wound on a antique style wooden spool. 100% Habutai Silk Bias Ribbon. Silk weight 12mm.
