Dusty Indigo {Luxe}

$ 4.00

Dusty indigo is a soft alluring indigo blue. First, the ribbon is dyed a soft gray, then dipped into our organic indigo dye vat. A color process taking days to create, making our "dusty indigo" a treasured color. This color reads as a solid, but upon close evaluation you can see the soft marbling of color, giving it a truly custom feel. Each ribbon one-of-a-kind.

Dusty Indigo silk ribbon is a perfect match with our "French Blue" Napkins.

Dyed with indigo. Indigo is the most recognized natural dye throughout history. This divine hue holds deep meanings and traditions spanning many cultures. Indigo is a precious pigment, for some cultures symbolizing wealth and for others a connection to the elements of water and sky.

Sample Swatches are a 9-inch length sample of our 1.5-inch width ribbon.

This unique hand-loomed silk adds a truly special accessory to your bridal bouquet. This ribbon is Peace Silk, created from sustainably harvested organic silk cocoons.

Created from silk cocoons sustainably gathered from deep within a protected forest. Artisans, rich in the craft of hand-looming, have created this material with skill and tradition that has been passed down for hundreds of years.

This unique ribbon has a beautiful natural sheen and soft silky finish. The edges are cut clean but can be frayed for a soft feathery feel. This ribbon has a bias cut to create a natural flow and drape. Each ribbon is wound on an antique style wooden spool. 100% Organic hand-loomed "luxe" silk. Ahimsa, "peace silk".

Throughout the dyeing process, our ribbons are cooked in color and washed several times to ensure colorfastness. While hand washing is possible, due to the delicate nature of the material it is not recommended to maintain it's original texture. If needed, hand wash in lukewarm water with mild pH neutral soap, plant dyes are "living" color that can be shifted by chemicals and drastic changes in pH. Hang to dry. Iron on medium heat on the back side of the fabric.
