Indigo + Coreopsis | 100% Silk Satin Scarf
ORIGINAL BOTANICAL HAND-DYED ARTWORK on SILK
Crafted in the peak of the Summer Season when fresh flowers are gathered from our gardens.
Our silk satin scarves are first dyed with our local harvest of black walnuts, then eco-dyed with patterns of coreopsis flowers (fresh and dried), and lastly, dip-dyed in our organic indigo vat.
Pattern #1 is fully dipped in indigo, creating an overall hue of a soft sky pale blue over the coreopsis botanical prints.
Pattern #2 is dipped in indigo on three sides, leaving one corner with the champagne hue from the walnuts.
The patterns on each scarf are similar and created in the same manner, yet each scarf is unique and one-of-a-kind.
Each scarf comes in a 100% silk organza bag, ready for gifting. Naturally dyed silk scarf for a neck accessory, hair wrap, or tying on your purse to add color to your fashion ensemble.
Color | Shades of light sky blue with russet hues from coreopsis eco-prints.
The hem is hand-rolled and hand-sewn. This silk satin scarf has a glossy silk sheen on one side and a matte finish on the backside.
CARE / Machine wash separately, gentle cycle/cold, or hand wash. Use mild pH-neutral soap; plant dyes are "living" colors that can be shifted by chemicals and changes in pH. Tumble dry on low or hang to dry. Iron when barely damp on medium heat on the backside of the fabric for a silky smooth finish.
