Canyon Sunset {Ethereal} evokes the gradations of evening's last light reflecting off the canyon walls. A rich apricot-coral hue with red undertones mimics the coral sandstone hues. This light translucent ribbon appears lighter as sunlight shines through it. This ribbon has a marbling of shades which adds to the character of this unique ribbon.

Canyon Sunset {Ethereal}  adds a layer of sheer texture to elevate your bridal bouquet. Use it on its own or combined with our classic silk ribbons. The natural shimmer of our raw organic silk creates an unmatchable earthy elegance. 

"Ethereal" silk ribbon is a feather-weight silk. This is hand-loomed silk with a beautiful delicate weave. Due to the delicate hand-made nature of this silk, imperfections are always possible. 

Color created from the natural dye Ceriops tagal.

Ceriops tagal, a mangrove tree species, is a vital tree in coastal ecosystems. Mangroves are under tremendous environmental stress from herbicides, runoff, and clear-cutting groves for aquaculture. Ceriops tagal is considered a precious dye sourced from Botanical Colors in collaboration with Threads of Life, who acquired this extract from Indonesia's only mangrove ecosystem to be Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified for environmental management and protection. The bark used to create this dye is a by-product of forest management and is used by the concession to increase incomes for people living around the forest.

Organic ahimsa silk, peace silk.

Created from silk cocoons sustainably gathered from deep within a protected forest. Artisans, rich in the craft of hand-looming, have created this material with skill and tradition that has been passed down for hundreds of years.

"Ethereal" is an ultra-thin and delicate hand-loomed silk ribbon. Perfect on its own to create a truly ethereal feel or pair with our classic ribbon for a magical layer of texture. The edges are cut clean, but are very delicate and can be easily frayed for a soft feathery feel. This ribbon is bias cut to create a natural flow and drape. Due to the flexible nature of the bias cut, the width can appear thinner when pulled tight. Each ribbon is wound on a antique style wooden spool. 100% Organic "Ethereal" silk. Ahimsa, "peace silk".

Throughout the dyeing process, our ribbons are cooked in color and washed several times to ensure colorfastness. While hand washing is possible, due to the delicate nature of the material it is not recommended to maintain it's original texture. If needed, hand wash in lukewarm water with mild pH neutral soap, plant dyes are "living" color that can be shifted by chemicals and drastic changes in pH. Hang to dry. Iron on medium heat on the back side of the fabric.
