The creation begins with silk, gently dyed in a soft rose hue. Flower petals are then carefully arranged, rolled into the silk, and steamed, leaving behind their ethereal, abstract imprints.  

When the rose blends with the petals, a symphony of romantic hues unfolds. Rose shifts to blush, coral undertones peek through, and delicate yellow petals float across the silk, creating a ribbon that feels as fleeting and beautiful as a garden in bloom. The result is a ribbon full of organic beauty. No two ribbons are alike—each one is a unique piece of art.

Original Eco-Print Silk Ribbons:  Each silk ribbon is an original work of art, hand-dyed by Shellie in her Hudson Valley studio. Her process begins with a quiet walk through the land she calls home—gardens alive with blooms and wooded paths humming with the rhythm of the seasons. Here, she gathers her palette: fresh flowers bursting with vibrance and petals she carefully collects and dries in her studio—each one a treasure, carrying its own unique color and marking from the earth.

The silk is carefully steeped and prepared, awaiting its transformation. Petal by petal, Shellie arranges her findings, each placement as intentional as a brushstroke. With some areas tightly bound and others left loose, the silk is rolled into bundles and gently steamed, coaxing the natural pigments to seep and bloom across the fabric. The result is a kaleidoscope of abstract markings and hues, blending as effortlessly as the colors of a sunset or the shifting tones of a forest floor.

Classic, Satin, Sheer & Taffeta Silk Ribbons

These ribbons can be hand-washed at home when needed.

• Hand-wash: Gently wash in cold water using a mild, pH-neutral natural laundry soap. Machine washing contributes to the ribbon fraying on the edges.
• Protect the color: Plant dyes are living colors. Harsh cleaning chemicals and sudden pH changes can shift their tone, so stick to gentle, neutral soap.
• Remove water carefully: Don't wring or twist. Press out excess water with a clean towel.
• Dry flat or hang: Lay flat or hang to air dry. Keep ribbons out of prolonged sunlight to preserve their natural hues.
• Press smooth: Use a medium-heat iron or steamer for a smooth finish.

To refresh ribbons and remove creases: Lightly spritz with water, then steam or iron on medium heat once nearly dry.

Pro tip: A hair flat iron works well for quickly smoothing ribbons and creating a flawless, wrinkle-free finish.

• Dry clean only: Dry cleaning preserves their fine, airy weave.
• Hand washing: Hand-washing is possible, but it can alter the delicate structure of these hand-loomed ribbons.

Free shipping orders will ship via USPS or FedEx with an estimated shipping time of 4-8 days.
