Handmade and steeped in tradition, our professional-grade 100% recycled cotton rag paper is a testament to the art of craftsmanship. Created exclusively for Silk & Willow by skilled papermakers, each sheet carries a natural white hue and a texture you won’t find anywhere else. The deckled edges, formed sheet by sheet, evoke a sense of nostalgia, making every piece a work of art in its own right.
Our true rag papers are a rarity. Air-dried and tub-sized, they offer a water-resistant surface that honors the centuries-old tradition of papermaking. Perfect for hand calligraphy, watercolor, and all painting and drawing media, these papers are as versatile as they are beautiful.
Crafted from recycled t-shirt cuttings, our handmade papers and envelopes give discarded materials a second life—transforming waste into something both purposeful and beautiful. The care infused into each piece extends to every part of the process: water is thoughtfully sourced from a handmade well and rainwater collection system, preserving natural resources with careful stewardship.
Free from chlorine and bleaches, each paper and envelope is naturally acid-free, water-resistant, and true to the historical methods of papermaking. Silk & Willow's handmade stationery honors history, tradition, and our planet.
Slight variations in size and texture are a reminder of their handmade origin, a reflection of the artisans’ hands and the recycled materials that give them life. These papers are more than a medium—they are a story and a celebration of timeless artistry.
If precise sizing is required, we recommend testing with our paper sampler before purchasing in bulk.
All USA orders of $150.00 are eligible for FREE SHIPPING.
For orders of $150.00 or more that ship within the USA, free shipping will be automatically applied at checkout. Free shipping orders will ship via USPS or FedEx with an estimated shipping time of 4-8 days. If you require speedy shipping, you will have the option to opt out of the FREE SHIPPING, and select FedEx-2 day or FedEx Express shipping at checkout.
Exclusions apply: Free shipping may not be applied to oversized custom orders. The shipping rates for custom orders will be discussed in your custom order estimate, and are based on the order size and special requirements.
All orders are processed and shipped within 1-3 business days from your order date. We ship Monday–Friday. Shipping days do not include the weekend unless previous arrangements have been made. If you have an urgent order, please contact us to ensure your order ships the same day. NOTE: Our package pickup is daily at 2pm Eastern Time.
