Description

A textile that redefines what tulle can be. Unlike typical synthetic tulle made from polyester or nylon, which is often rough, stiff, and scratchy, silk tulle offers a completely different experience. Its fluid, soft, and ethereal drape moves gracefully, making it the choice for high-end bridal veils, couture garments, or elevated styling projects.

What makes 100% pure silk tulle truly exceptional is its versatility. A unique textile for table styling, its luxurious drape, fully sheer nature, and ability to contour and stretch across surfaces make it an invaluable addition to your styling collection.

In its relaxed state, this material measures approximately 48 inches in width, but with its bouncy, stretchy nature, it can be styled and pulled to cover up to 60 inches in width—offering endless possibilities for creative styling.

Your silk tulle arrives folded in our handmade silk bag. To remove creases, simply spritz the fabric with water and give it a gentle shake, or use an iron set to the silk or medium-low heat setting. For cleaning, dry clean or hand wash in cool water using a pH-neutral, natural laundry soap. After washing, roll the fabric in a towel to remove excess water, then lay it flat or hang it to dry.

Plant Dyed Textiles

Lovingly handcrafted with care and intention, Silk & Willow’s plant-dyed textiles are a poetic celebration of nature’s artistry. Each piece is hand-dyed using pigments derived from plants, flowers, nuts, bark, and other natural materials—creating hues that tell the story of their natural origins. The subtle variations in tone, born from the alchemy of natural dyeing, make every textile as unique as the hands that craft them.

With custom colors and textures exclusive to Silk & Willow, our textiles honor tradition and history. Crafted from hand-loomed cotton, linen, and organic silks, they celebrate the timeless art of hand-weaving, preserving a craft that is both rare and fleeting. Whether gracing a dining table, enhancing a special event, or adding a meaningful touch to your home, these textiles embody the perfect harmony of beauty, sustainability, and intention.

Care

Cotton + Linen Textiles: Machine wash separately on a gentle cycle with cold water, or hand wash. Use a mild, pH-neutral laundry soap, as plant-based dyes are "living" colors that can be altered by harsh chemicals or drastic changes in pH. Tumble dry on low or hang to dry. Note that tumble drying may cause minor shrinkage and create a soft, natural crinkle in the fabric. Over time, our cotton and linen textiles will continue to soften with each use. Important: Do not wash more than 10-12 yards of material at once, as the fabric will twist and tangle in the wash.  Pro Tip: To easily remove folds and wrinkles, lightly spritz the fabric with water and shake it out—creases will naturally fall away. For a more polished, modern look, iron on medium-high heat to smooth out wrinkles.

Sheer Silk Textiles: Machine wash separately on a gentle cycle with cold water or dry clean. Use a mild, pH-neutral soap, as plant-based dyes are "living" colors that can be affected by harsh chemicals or significant changes in pH. Hang drying is recommended to preserve the fabric’s delicate nature. If you choose to tumble dry, use a low heat setting, but note that minor shrinkage may occur, and the fabric will develop a soft, natural crinkle. To remove wrinkles and achieve a smooth finish, iron on medium heat. Important: Do not wash more than 10-12 yards of material at once, as the fabric may tangle during the wash. Organza, Ethereal, Taffeta Silk Textiles: Dry cleaning is highly recommended to preserve the delicate, hand-loomed weave and original texture of these textiles. While hand washing is possible, it will alter the fabric’s weave and finish. If hand washing is necessary, use cool water and a mild, pH-neutral laundry soap. Be mindful that plant-based dyes are "living" colors and can be affected by harsh chemicals or significant changes in pH. Hang to dry. For a smooth finish, iron on medium heat. Pro Tip: Do not spritz with water or use water steaming before testing a small piece of fabric first. Water can alter the weave on some of our custom hand-loomed silks.
